It's time for America to reconsider its gun laws, Calderón tells U.S. Congress

Mexican president tweets his sympathy, but with an urgent plea to U.S. lawmakers

Mexico's president sent condolences to the U.S., and particularly to those in Aurora, Colorado touched by last week's theater shooting. He also said that American gun laws are wrong and pose a threat to everyone -- a familiar refrain during his nearly concluded six year presidency: "Dear friends in the United States - please, no more assault weapons to Mexico."
