There are few details yet, but authorities in Veracruz report that 10 additional corpses were discovered late yesterday (October 7). Seven were in a parked van, and the other three were left on a public road. In the past 72 hours, 46 presumed victims of narco violence have been found. The tally since September 21 is now 83. The chief prosecutor in Veracruz resigned yesterday, and there is increasing pressure on governor Javier Duarte, who suggested just this week that the city is stable and secure.
